REPÜLŐMÚZEUM  SZOLNOK

DB 605, 12 hengeres V-motor

DB 605, V-12 engine

Fordítás/Translation: Jószai Zoltán

A Me-109 G6 motorja hat évtizedet töltött a föld alatt. Sokkal inkább egyben maradt, mint a Múzeum másik hasonló típusú motorja.

The engine of the Me-109 G6 was buried for six decades. It is in much more condition than the Museum's other engine of the same type.

A hengersorok meghajlottak, de nem törtek el.

Ne felejtsük el: fordított V-motorról van szó, tehát a gépbe építve hengerek vannak alul.

The cylinder lines are bent, but not broken.

Don't forget: It is an inverted V engine, so the cylinder heads are on the bottom when built in the plane.

A blokk hátsó része. A kép közepén lévő csőtengely a légcsavaré, ezen keresztül tüzelt a Messer gépágyúja.

The back side of the engine block. The tubular axle in the middle is for the propeller, the Messer's cannon was firing through it.

Jól látható a légcsavar állásszög-szabályzó mechanizmusa.

The propeller pitch aligning mechanism is clearly visible.

A blokk viszonylag sima alumínium-öntvény.

The engine block is a rather simply a cast of aluminium.

Új fejlemény (2006. október):

A Bejczy József századost Abonynál a halálba vivő Me-109 G6(G14) összetartozó maradványai Magó Károly ötlete lapján közös állványon vannak kiállítva. Motor, légcsavar-tollak (csak kettő), gépágyú, bal főfutó-szár, egyéb "lemezáru" hatvan-egynéhány év után újra együtt.

News (October 2006.)

Following the idea of Károly Magó, the joining remnants of the Me-109 G6(G14) bringing Cpt. József Bejczy to death at Abony, are displayed together on a common stand. Engine, propeller blades (only two), cannon, left gear rod, and some sheet metal together after sixty-and-some years.

A gép gyári számát lehet tudni, 126724.

Az 1944. november 4.-én lezuhant gép egyaránt tartalmazott G6 és G14 változatból származó alkatrészeket, sőt, "barkácsolás" nyomait is sikerült rajta azonosítani.

The serial number of the airplane is known: 126724

The plane, crashed on the 4th of November, 1944. consisted parts both from variants G6 and G14, moreover, some "DIY work" was discovered on it too.

Ha majd tavasszal eljössz a Múzeumba, nézd meg egymás közelében ezt a motort és az Il-10 AM-42-es motorját. Közel azonos időszakból származnak, teljesítményük hasonló, a szovjet motor viszont másfélszer nagyobb jószág.

When you come to the Museum next the spring, check out this engine and the AM-42 engine of the Il-10. They are closely from the same era, they have similar performance, but the soviet one is half as big again.

A 30 mm-es gépágyú csöve becsapódáskor meghajlott.

During impact the 30mm canon was bent.

Két gyönyörködtető  részlet: a gépágyú zárszerkezete és a motor segédhajtásának fogaskerekei.

Tavasszal készítek képeket a lefelé néző szelephimbákról is, azok is látványosak.

Two beautiful details: The machine gun and the auxiliary drive gears of the engine.

In the spring I will make photos of the valves looking downwards, they are spectacular too.

Az alumínium öntvény motortartó.

Gyári szám maradványok.

Remnants of the serial number.

Ezt a számot nem is sejtjük, hogy mire vonatkozik.

We can't even guess about what these numbers mean.
